To the Family of Wendell Rensink, SR.
What a wonderful friend and neighbor Wendell was. We are so blessed to have had him in our lives for the past 20 some years. Wendell was a wonderful role model for our children. He always took time to explain things to them, and they learned allot just by living next to him and Caroline. They both will be missed by us all. Your in our prayers. Tim,Vicki, Justin,Mariah, & Phil Lammers

You have my smypathy in the loss of your father and grandfather. Wendell was my boss at the Dixon Bank and was a wonderful person. I have fond memories of those earlier years. Pat Reese

Dear Rensink family,
I enjoyed hearing Wendell's chime clock playing Hoagy Carmicheal's "Stardust" as I came past his apartment here at Aspen Heights. We often reminisced about people and events of our home town, Boyden. Recently, we even talked about Handitown, a store and gas station that was located a few miles northwest of Boyden, back in the 1930s. The owners would show movies on the side of the building on Saturday evenings. It was nice to remember those 'olden' days with him.
I admired Wendell's words of wisdom. He adored Caroline. He was a fine example of a real Christian gentleman.
I have a good memory of showing Wendell and Melanie my quilt collection, (most of them made by daughter, Lynn Davis.)
The Scholten and Rensink families are sort of intertwined. My sister, Grada, used to help Grandma Iva years ago. Our nephew, Les Sybesma is married to Lila Elliot, who is very special to me. She and I put together the Scholten/Diekevers genealogy a few years a
go. Our daughter and her husband, Lynn and Andy Davis are good friends of Melanie and Tom Huibregtse.
It was a privilege and pleasure to have Wendell as a neighbor.
You have my love and sympathy.
Henrietta Scholten Dykstra

Dear Rensink Family, My family lived in Boyden during our early years, and we all were enjoying our relationships with the Rensinks. I sang in the church choir with both Wendell and Lee, when I was in high school. My brothers were in contact with Wendell for many years after we all left Boyden. I was fortunate to have visited with Wendell and Caroline two years ago when in Boyden. We enjoyed talking of the good old days, and I will always remember his smile and laughter, behind one of his favorite pipes. God's Peace to All of You.
