Beth Te Grotenhuis, 64, of Sioux Center, Iowa, died Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Crown Pointe Estates.
A Prayer service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Carmel Reformed Church of Rural Rock Valley. Interment will follow the prayer service in the Carmel Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Carmel Reformed Church of Rural Rock Valley, Iowa with Erik Hoekstra officiating. Beth requested family and friends share memories and fun stories during lunch following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests memorials be directed to Dordt University or the Carmel Reformed Church.
Beth Anne Te Grotenhuis, 64, was born on September 20, 1961, and passed away on May 7, 2026. Beth left a legacy of service and generosity that touched the communities she called home.
Her life was defined by her unwavering commitment to nurturing faith in others, her passion for Christian education and her enduring love of travel.
As CEO/President of Glynlyon, Odysseyware and Alpha Omega Publications in Chandler, Arizona, Beth led with both vision and integrity for 31 years. Her dedication to innovation and excellence in education, especially Christian education, impacted countless students and families. After retirement, Beth served as a Board Member of Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, where she championed educational and music initiatives.
Beth embraced life in both Chandler, Arizona and Sioux Center, Iowa, cherishing the many connections she formed in each community. Her devotion to Carmel Church in Carmel, Iowa, was evident in her participation and leadership, especially through women’s ministries and Vacation Bible School. If something needed to be done, Beth made it happen. Beth was a "do-er" for Christ.
Beth's many journeys took her across the country and the globe, where she traveled with countless friends and added many new friends along the way. She was the ultimate travel planner, with detailed itineraries, and loved researching new destinations. A scheduled trip on the calendar was always a must.
Beth Te Grotenhuis is preceded in death by her parents, Gaynor and Elsie Te Grotenhuis, sister, Donna Hulshof, and niece Lisa Warntjes. Beth is survived by her brother, Wayne Te Grotenhuis and brother-in-law, John Hulshof (Donna) and niece, Kelly McLeod and nephew, Brian Hulshof.
