Kenneth Doornink, age 87, of Sioux Center, Iowa, died Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Crown Pointe Care Center in Sioux Center.
A prayer service will take place at 9:00AM, Friday, December 19, 2025, at New Life Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Burial will follow the prayer service at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, December 19, 2025, at New Life Reformed Church with Pastor Dan Kruse, officiating.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 18th, at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Gospel Mission of Sioux City, Iowa.
Kenneth Doornink was born June 8, 1938, at Sioux Center, Iowa the son of Gerrit and Clara (Vander Zwaag) Doornink. Kenneth grew up on the family farm. He attended country school and graduated from Sioux Center High School when he was 16 years old. After high school, he worked with his father on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Jenean Kosters on October 8, 1958, at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, Iowa. They made their home on the farm where they raised their family. They lived on this farm until they went to Crown Pointe Care Center in March of 2025.
Kenneth was a farmer deep down. His family remembers his mechanical ability; he could make most anything run really well. He enjoyed riding horses, fixing tractors and spending time with his family. He and his family would often go riding horses either at Newton Hills or out to the Black Hills in South Dakota. As his health declined, he became a resident of Crown Pointe Care Center in Sioux Center where he died this past Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the age of eighty-seven.
He is survived by his wife, Jenean Doornink of Sioux Center, IA; daughter, Polly (Rod) Visser of Orange City, IA and their children Josie (Evan) Swanson and Asa (Cara) Visser; son, Gerb (Bernice) Doornink of Sioux Center, IA and their children, Dan (Katie) Doornink, Dustin (Yaby) Doornink, Bonnie (Chris) Cuperus, Gabe (Chelsea) Doornink and Denae (Matt) Bigelow; son, Kit (Kathy) Doornink of Sundance, WY and their children, Kris (Kara) Doornink and Tasha Doornink along with one sister, Darlene Van Roekel.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Gerrit and Clara; infant sister, and one great granddaughter, Kyla.
