Lyle Edward Van Der Brink

Lyle Van Der Brink, 67, of Sioux Center, Iowa, passed from a heart attack on, Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Sioux Center Heath in Sioux Center.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center with Rev. Roger Voskuil officiating. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Lyle Edward Van Der Brink was born to Case and Alice (Flier) Van Der Brink on February 7, 1958, in Rock Rapids, Iowa. He spent his childhood in Boyden, Iowa.

Throughout Lyle’s life, he did various jobs including road construction working for various trucking companies and other employment.

Lyle married Deloris Van Den Berg on August 5, 2006, in Sioux Center, Iowa. The couple enjoyed camping and traveling together. Lyle also enjoyed any time he could spend with his stepchildren and their families.

He is survived by his beloved wife Deloris; stepchildren: Billy & Dawn Blake and their daughter, Lydia of Spencer, IA; Stacie & Jason Parker and their daughters, Gianna & Gabrielle of Minneapolis, MN, Shannon & Victor Moreno and their children, Noah & Stella of Carlsbad, CA; sister, Connie & Kent Rusche; sister-in-law, Brenda Van Der Brink. Lyle is also survived by members of Deloris’ family: parents-in-law, Alvin & Lois Zomer; brothers-in-law, Michael & Kim Zomer, Mark & Karla Zomer, Ryan & Jamie Zomer as well as nieces and nephews.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Case & Alice Van Der Brink, brother, Hank Van Der Brink and a stepson, Christopher Van Den Berg.
