Marjorie Beth Cuperus

Marjorie Cuperus, 80 years young, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 at Whispering Heights Care Center in Rock Valley, Iowa. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 17, 2026 at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center, with Pastor Dan Kruse, officiating. 

Burial will follow the service at Hope Cemetery in Hull.

Memorials may be directed to the Alpha Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Marjorie Beth Cuperus was born February 1, 1946, in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of Ted and Johanna (Sinkey) Riepma. She grew up in Ireton and attended Ireton Christian School. She then graduated from Western Christian High School in Hull.

On September 4, 1964, Marjorie was united in marriage to Earl Cuperus in Ireton, Iowa. The couple made their home in Hull.

In the past, she worked at Den Hoed Greenhouse and part time at the Rexall Drugstore in Hull. She enjoyed traveling, palm trees, and taking trips to Florida and would invite the entire family every few years to come with. Her hobbies included camping, boating, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Marjorie enjoyed volunteering at the Melissa’s Hope Chest and the Alpha Center in Sioux Falls.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lynn (Lynn) Cuperus of Hull, Chris (Bonnie) Cuperus of Sioux Center, and Kim (Bernie) Wynia of Sioux Center; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Bev (Bob) Attema of Valley Springs, SD; sisters-in-law, Betty Techen, Vell (Jim) Keizer, Lavonne (Walt) Den Hoed; and special friend, Martha; along with many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Johanna Riepma; husband, Earl; sister, Darlene Mulder; granddaughter, Kyla Cuperus; great granddaughter, Angel Wynia; and parents-in-law, Louis and Jeanette Cuperus.
